President Obama’s Economic Adviser, Lawrence Summers, has informed the American public that there are absolutely no new tax increases this year. Silly me, I’m with Conservative Punk on this one: “Oh yes, yes, there are. The President’s budget calls for the largest increase in the death tax in U.S. history in 2010.” Watch Summers spin this issue like, well, something that spins really fast:

If there are new tax increases, which I am siding with Con Punk on this one, then at least admit it. The thing that frustrates me most with politicians is their unwillingness to be honest. Call a spade a spade. You’re entitled to your own opinion, but a fact is a fact is a fact. If there are new tax increases, say so, and then try to back it up and justify it.

Politics as usual. No change in DC as of yet.
